Hanging Over Also available on: Modern Life Is Rubbish Cover art: Stylorouge Video by: Produced by Kirstin Syme for Nitrate UK Limited, directed by Julien Temple Single info: Blur were very excited when they presented what was to become Modern Life Is Rubbish - but minus For Tomorrow and Chemical World at this point - to David Balfe. But Balfe absolutely hated it, stating there were no singles or American song and that it wouldn't sell. Balfe told Damon to come up with another song. Damon: "It was a horrible Christmas. I went out on Christmas Eve and got really drunk and woke up really early on Christmas morning very hungover and went down into the kitchen and wrote For Tomorrow. That was a really important song for us. It was the beginning of us being a different kind of band." |
